Homemade Miso Soup

This is my new go to soup. A healthy, hearty and nourishing miso soup. Made using a handful of ingredients that are full of nutritional goodness. It’s so tasty and takes minutes to make.

  • 1 teaspoon of miso paste
  • 1 chopped garlic
  • 1/2 inch grated ginger
  • Tamari or soy suce
  • 1 cup of water
  • Chopped spring onions
  • A handful of spinach
  • Tofu (optional) – If you are not plant based then you can use fish or chicken
  • Toasted sesame seeds, chopped coriander (optional)

  1. Simmer the water in a pan and keep on a low heat
  2. Add the miso paste and stir until dissolved
  3. Add the ginger and garlic
  4. Stir through and add the spinach (and tofu if using)
  5. Gently warm through for a couple of minutes
  6. Pour into a bowl and add a splash of tamari
  7. Sprinkle spring onions and sesame seeds on top
  8. Sit back and enjoy 🙂

Extra: You can even add some noodles to this dish. Cook the noodles separately and use as a base. Pour the soup on top.
