I love food and I love it even better if it makes me feel good.
I am a strong believer that you can improve your health through good food, a positive mind, frequent movement and plenty of sleep. So when I started For the Love of Lemons, my mission was to inspire and encourage people to make healthier food choices through simple changes. Since I have first hand experience on healing myself naturally, I want to share my ideas with you, to help you feel better from the inside out! I want you to be motivated to improve your own health and well-being, and understand that food can have a huge impact on your health.

My journey to better health started after I was hit with severe IBS, inflamed acne and very poor immune function. I suffered for many years and was sick all the time, not knowing what was causing my issues. It left me with anxiety and in-securities. After suffering for so long, I realised something needed to change to allow me to heal. After a lot of personal research and trials, and the support of an amazing nutritional therapist, I found something that worked for me. I discovered I was deficient in so many nutrients, that my body wasn’t functioning as it should. I needed to eliminate certain foods to avoid inflammation in my body, but I also needed to introduce some foods to help me feel better and heal naturally.
I am still on this journey and I am always learning and listening to my body now. I believe that good nutrition, movement and sleep will allow me to feel my best.

Lemons was the first thing I introduced when changing my eating habits. I squeezed fresh lemon into hot water every day and drank this first thing in the morning. I started to notice a difference quite quickly. I was not only hydrating myself but also giving my body vitamin C, which I needed. So, this is what kick started my healthy eating journey. I now add lemons to most of my cooking and love making lemon energy balls.
